Janet works with people who want to fit in nutritious food and healthy habits into busy schedules. And who want to design a life they love! Janet Luongo, M.S. Ed, is a holistic health counselor certified in Integrative Nutrition through Columbia University’s Teachers College. During a major health crisis in her own youth, she was told that she may never lead a “normal” life, which meant she could not expect to finish school, get married, have children or even hold down a job. Janet made a complete recovery and finished school through her Masters degree, is now celebrating 32 years of a joyful marriage, is close to her athlete son who teaches math, and has been gainfully employed her whole career in work for which she has passion. In short Janet learned to heal herself and now shares her insights with others. She pulled herself up largely through learning to forgive (herself as well as others), and through reframing negative thoughts and feelings into positive ones.
This philosophy culminated in her book, 365 Daily Affirmations for Creativity. It’s written for people who want to create – which could be art, or it could be creating relationships, children, events, companies, a home or work/life balance. Janet made art and helped people make art for many years, which was at core encouraging them to express their true self. Now she leads people see their whole lives as a canvas on which to create their dreams. Her book includes an inspiring foreword by Jack Canfield of Chicken Soup for the Soul.
