Most Americans would benefit from these changes:
eat more: Whole & local foods, seasonal and organic. Green leafy vetables, fruit, whole grains, sweet vegetables like carrots. Drink water.
eat less: Processed junk food with chemicals and artificial ingredients. Eat less meat, dairy, sugar, Drink less soda, coffee, alcohol. Avoid tobacco, saturated fat, and transfat.
vary proteins: Choose those best for you: Eat more plant protein: beans, legumes, nuts, seeds, tofu. Optional - eat a little animal protein: fish, poultry, eggs, organic, low-fat dairy (yogurt, milk, cheeses) or lean meats
shop & cook Visit farmers’ markets & the produce section at grocery stores. Prepare simple meals and snacks. Enjoy eating slowly while conversing with others at the table.
move your body! Find physical activity you enjoy. Move regularly throughout the day. (Get enough sleep after an active day)

THINK, CREATE, HAVE FUN! LOVE your life
MAKE TIME for people you love HELP others
ENJOY nature and fresh air UPLIFT your spirit
Focus on the positive. When you eat more good foods, you have less room for the junk!
One step at a time, at your own pace, in any order, you will move toward greater health.
