What Sharon Crain says about my book: Sharon is a photographer, author and the professor who invited me to teach at Shaanxi Normal University in Xian, China, in October 2009 to speak about creativity and my book.

Janet, I have been agonizingly editing, rewriting, rewording, rethinking - day and night for a long time! I thought of your words which  are circled and starred in your book with my notations. I read again your affirmation: "I am no longer holding on. I am letting go of the work I have created, just as a mother lets go of a grown child who is ready to find a place in the world."

I finally pushed the send button on my computer to send the entire first section of my book, Witness to Change, to China! This morning I awakened to sunshine and sat on the deck and it was as if you were there, helping me once again take the hard step when letting go but giving me support and encouragement with your affirmation: "If I choose to share my work, I know it is worthy of an audience."  Thank you Janet for being here with me (in spirit) to help create my book!

After my slide presentations in China to Sharon’s students at Shaanxi University.

I so enjoyed sharing China together with you and having you share your book and creative talents with my Chinese students and friends. You were great.  My students say you were “hot” - that’s a good thing! The faculty want you to address them and want you to write an article on creativity for their art education journal. My publisher asked for your book and is considering it.  May many more opportunities and connections open up.
