Cuenca is a thriving expatriot community for Americans and Canadians, so Cameron and I found out today at Cafe Zoe where they all meet to share stories of how they gained residency, bought property and enjoy a new international community set in the hills of a traditional city, based on a mix of three cultures, now integrated with foreigners and tourists.
Cameron and I spent the day touring the environs of Cuenca with our new friend Tony and his beautiful family ' this time the kids were with us. We explored the affluent suburbs, the country, and apartments in the city. Cameron found a city apartment, brand new, 3 bed room, where she could live, close to the bus, the mall, the center city, for only $220 per month. She also found a community 10 minutes from the city with easy access by bus that was incredible - a luxury house with 3 big bedrooms, huge living room, full dining and kitchen and laundry room, property with porches, hammocks, fruit trees for only $600 but she would need 2 roommates - please contact me if you have any interest in living in luxury in eternal spring!
