Our first day inOxfordshire, England was all we longed for - catching up with long-time friends, meeting their daughter, Katie, now a beautiful young woman, with her boyfriend, Tal, who both recently returned from managing a tiger reserve in India and are temporarily living with her parents, our friends, who are Israeli and South African,. We had delicious meals with lots of fruits and vegetables all day, with a veggie burger for dinner, since Tammy is vegetarian.  Kevin barbequed some chicken and ribs of grass fed animals and the men enjoyed that.  We remembered that we first met 32 years ago on the island of Corfu.  I said I wanted to share with my friends back home in America about the European lifestyle we were enjoying - lingering at the table to have interesting personal conversation with lots of good food and laughs.  Tal joked - so to report on Europeans you started with an Israeli/South African couple?!

Tomorrow we meet our friends' son Michael after not seeing him since he was four.  Jetlagged, but a good night's sleep will help!
