The nuclear disaster in Japan is a wake-up call. The U.S. was planning a “renaissance” of the nuclear power industry. Yes, yes, it’s “cheap and safe.” Until it’s NOT SAFE. It’s time for citizens to make our voices heard. We want a true renaissance – of GREEN ENERGY, renewable, sustainable, and healthy for all.

In NY, Governor Cuomo has called for the closing of Indian Point, the nuclear plant just north of NYC, because in case of a disaster like the one in Fukushima, nearing the level of Chernobyl, it would be impossible to safely evacuate the 20 million people in the NY Metropolitan area.
There are over 100 nuclear plants in the USA. In your state, find out if the plant is old, or is on a fault line. Believe it or not there are plants built on fault lines.
