Mile Markers

1.* DEPARTURE – INITIAL PRIVATE CONSULTATION Feb. 21 – Mar 9

Express where you are now. Where do you want to go? What are your concerns, dreams and goals?

STEP 1: Make a commitment to reach your destination. Determine your vehicle and itinerary. Pack your bags – travel light. Each week discard one thing, attitude, habit or relationship That won’t serve you on your journey.


2. Starting point - EXPRESS YOUR CONCERNS. March 10 

Locate where you are now. Are you lost? Where do you want to go? What’s blocking your path? How are you navigating now? Is your inner compass working?

STEP 2: Take a personality inventory and reflect on your style and way of operating.

Complete the Circle of Life Inventory to see what’s in and out of balance. 


3. Vision - EXPRESS YOUR DESIRES. March 17

See your desired destination in vivid detail.  Describe what you see, hear, feel, smell, and taste.  Why do you want to go there?  What is the purpose of your trip?  Plan the trip. Where will it be hard? What do you need to take? What baggage do you leave behind? Who is accompanying you or are you alone?

STEP 3: Create a vision board, your map to your future. Make a collage with magazine photos. Picture what you want and make it happen.


4. Health - EXPRESS YOUR BODY March 24

Shape the body you want – a vehicle that’s strong enough to take you on a long life’s journey through many ups and downs.  What kind of fuel do you give it for energy?  Do you regularly maintain it for top performance?  Are you overly revved up, speeding down the road taking unnecessary risks?  Or can you slow down enough to enjoy the scenery?  Are you prepared to defend against accidents, bad weather,dangerous roads?  Do you honor your body as the temple of your soul? Do you let your beauty shine?

STEP 4 – Stand up with knees bent, be aware of your feet bringing in energy from the earth. Do 3 things to improve your health – food, activity, sleep.


5. MIND/EMOTIONS - EXPRESS YOUR UNIQUE SELF  March 31 

What drives you?  What’s the engine of your ingenuity – your individual thoughts, ideas, feelings? What churns around in the channels of your brain? What does your intuition know?  What does your heart yearn for? What does your womanhood want to give birth to and bring into the world?

STEP 5. Sit still, close your eyes and concentrate on your breathing for 5 minutes.  Be aware of what thoughts and emotions are filling your mind. Swing and swirl your hips to loosen up. Free write in your journal on the above questions and write your thoughts and emotions down. Formulate an affirmation to focus on the positive.


6. POWER - EXPRESS YOUR GIFTS April 7

Do you know the power and limits of yourself?  What are you grateful for?  What are you proud of?  What are weaknesses in your system?  What special skills and gifts do you have? Are you using your gifts at work? Are you looking for work or to start a career or business? What work are you happiest doing?

STEP 6 – Breathe into your solar plexus and do 3 things to improve your attitude toward yourself and your enjoyment of your work.


7. WEALTH – EXPRESS ABUNDANCE April 14 

How do you define wealth? What do you value most? Do you race after money?  Or do you scare it away? Do you keep some income by paying yourself first?  Or do you let it slip through your fingers?  Do you know where your money goes? Do you set priorities and know what you want to do with money?  Are you under earning? Or hoarding earnings? Do you save for emergencies? Do you waste money on paying debt? Do you give freely?  Do you feel grateful for what you have?  Are you a good steward of money and possessions? Are you feeling worthy and ready to receive abundance? Are you working on being financially independent?

STEP 7: Do 3 things to get your financial affairs in order.

8. LOVE – EXPRESS YOUR COMPASSION    May 5

Do you love yourself? Are you worthy to receive love of others? Who loves you? Who is the person in your life you love the most? What do you love about them?  Are you following roles designed by your family or society?  Or are you forming relationships based on your true personalities and needs? Do you listen well? Is your heart guarded?

STEP 8: Feel your heart soften. Forgive yourself for one thing you regret.  Forgive someone else and tell them in person if you can.  Practice listening. Make a special effort to listen completely in silence to someone you love.  When he or she is done speaking, summarize what you heard, and ask them a follow-up question. Ask how you can support them. 


9. CREATIVITY - EXPRESS YOUR TRUTH May 12 

What is it you would like to share? What do you want people to know or appreciate about you?  What do you want to leave after you are gone?  What new thing have you (or will you) put into the world?  What is your special perspective on the world based on your experience or point of view? Do you like to dance, sing, play an instrument, draw, take pictures, write, tell stories, make up or play games? If you said yes to any of these – you are creative.  To create is your birthright as a human being. Creativity helps you develop a sense of purpose and lowers your stress, thereby increasing your health.

STEP 9 – Reclaim your creativity by engaging in an art form just for fun.  Take notes, draw, sing or write a story about a meaningful memory or event in your life. You can throw away any product afterwards or hang it up to remind yourself of your innate powers. Use your creative powers to solve a problem or bring something into being – a relationship, an event, a child, a book, an enterprise, an invention.


10. PEACE – EXPRESS YOUR SPIRIT  May 19 

Are you stressed? Do you have a sense of purpose? Do you give time or money to charities or causes?  Do you connect to nature and to all beings on the planet – people, animals, plants, birds? Do you feel a connection to everything in the universe or a higher power?  Do you have a spiritual practice of any kind?

STEP 10 - Find a place to be in nature. Breathe, be still, notice everything around you for 3 minutes. Think peaceful, happy and loving thoughts. Write down everything you believe.


11. DESTINATION  - EXPRESS YOUR PRIDEMay 26 

What did you become aware of about yourself?  What small changes did you make that made a difference? Where was it hard? Who supported you? What did you enjoy?  What did you accomplish? What else do you want to accomplish?  Where else do you want to go?  What’s the next step?

STEP 11. Look back on your journey and write down your reflections on how much you have grown.
